Creating a new life is not something you do at a moment’s notice. Whether you are starting a new career, or you are moving your home to somewhere far away from friends and family. It will be a decision that you will think through, and not take lightly.
People do have the intention to change their life all the time by saying ‘That job will be better for me because it pays more,’ or ‘I want to live in that place because it has less traffic’. Putting these words into action however is often what is missing and might keep us in place, agreeing to less. When we’re actually looking for more.
Leaving our comfort zone by actually doing something often is too uncomfortable and we will find a lot of reason to counter ourselves. Just think about New Year’s resolutions and you will get the idea!
Why Would You Want A New Lifestyle?
And why would you change your lifestyle, right? I mean you are moving forward, days are progressing. You are living your life as it goes…, but does it make you happy? Are you living life or is life living you?
Most people will not come into a situation where they ‘have’ to change their lifestyle. That’s probably a good thing because a situation where you ‘have’ to change is usually not a very healthy situation!
That said, needing to change your lifestyle probably is the most effective situation to reach a goal. People in a ‘have to’ situation usually have their backs against the wall and the only way they can go is forward. I mean its nature! Think about a cornered animal no matter how passive, they will fight if they think their lives depend on it.
I think there are a lot of people that live an unhappy and unfulfilling live without ever being in a ‘back against the wall’ situation. They do not have enough incentive to change something about their lives to make them happy and rather stay in their comfort zone, complaining about how miserable their lives are.
I’ve had it for a moment…. without the complaining though!
When I wasn’t happy with my job it affected my life. I stopped having the drive to develop myself, my person was kind of put ‘on hold’ as you can call it. I would spend a lot of my free time playing video games instead of spending time with loved ones, and that took away my focus on what was important.
Luckily for me, that changed when I learned how I could create an online business. I got convinced to commit effort and time to change the situation I was in.
What Can You Do To Create A New Lifestyle!
The most simple answer to this question is, take massive action! Set a goal and work towards it one step at a time. You probably have loads of ideas in your head already, but afraid to make mistakes and leave your comfort zone.
You might think you do not have the skills or the know-how to put your ideas into shape, but these days you have something called the internet. Use it! The only one holding you back from putting those ideas in fruition is you!
One of the most powerful stuff I came across in getting myself into action, is listening and reading personal development books or podcasts. There are quite some personal coaches out there that say stuff that you already know but that you must hear from someone else in a more detailed and convincing way to get you moving.
You can read books like ‘the 7 habits of highly effective people’ from Stephen Covey or ‘The Power of Now’ by Eckhart Tolle. If you don’t like reading they come in audiobooks as well. You can also listen to these and other mentors, as I like to call them, on YouTube for example. Go ahead, just try it. Take this first step into action.
Wait a second until you have read my full blog though!
I have set up the basis for my online business within a month and I’m in the process of reaching my goal to become financially self-sufficient. I have set up my own website, I’m advertising on social media and I’m creating blogs. The proof of this you are reading right now. If you told me I would do this 2 months ago, I would probably have looked at you like you were on fire.
If you want to know more about how I got into action and started changing my lifestyle, you can read more on my website. I will not say that my way will work for you because everyone has their own journey, but it might rub off on you.
